Intel has quietly announced that it plans to remove the popular Intel Storage Technology (IST) driver from the Windows 10 operating system next month. Intel said that it will remove IST from the Windows 10 operating system in the fall when it is no longer necessary to support it.
I can’t say I’m surprised that Intel has decided to take this step. The Intel Storage Technology is a driver that allows your system to access the hard drive on your computer. IST has been part of Windows for a long time, but it was removed years ago due to security concerns. The driver is often used by third-party antivirus programs to hide malicious activity, so removing it is a big deal.
There are many things that I’m not aware of that you can do with IST. But if you can, then you can remove it too. I have a link to a website that’s trying to make a change to IST. They want to change the driver to IST, so I have no way of knowing what they are doing and why.

As soon as they remove support, they remove everything they have to. They remove all the Windows updates they have, and everything they do gets removed.
There are a lot of people who have no idea how to use Win7 and Win10 on their computers. The reality is that there is a lot of development and testing to do and that’s the reason they’ve stopped using it. They can’t get their computers to run Win7 and Win10 on their computers.
We think it may be time to uninstall Intel’s latest and greatest operating system.
