I have a friend that owns a restaurant and he makes a big point of not letting the customers know the exact day that he is going to open. He would have to keep track of opening hours, reservations, the menu, and in general, what is going to happen on each day until he opened.

The other day, I was talking to this guy, who owns a small restaurant, and he said that his customers don’t like the fact that he is keeping track of his business so he knows what is going on. He said that the restaurant was in the midst of a renovation when the restaurant got the news that his restaurant was going to be open on the day of the opening.

One of the benefits of working at a restaurant is that you get to help your customers out. You can come in and check that they are not paying too much for their food and you can find out what is going on with them and what they are wearing. It can be really helpful to know what the client is up to 24/7.
