That said, San Jose is the second largest city in the Bay Area. It may also be the only financial job you can get that pays well enough to live in the Bay Area.
I can only imagine what the salaries are like in the Bay Area for these positions, but its not exactly common to find anyone making $130,000 a year, and even if they did, San Jose is a pretty expensive place to live.
The San Jose area has the highest cost of living for all of Silicon Valley. So if you want to live here and want a job that pays enough to live in the Bay Area, you can get a job in finance.
