Wes Watkins technology center is located at the intersection of the main highway and the interstate, just north of the city of Charlotte. We are the largest of the four technology centers and as such, it’s the place to go for all things technology.
It’s the place to go to for anything that tech-related, from the latest new gadgets to the next big thing (like the latest, greatest, and most reliable car). Also, the space is great for meeting up with friends in business, for people who just want to hang out with others and, as of late, for those that like to get their hair cut.
As with all the other technology centers, WATC is primarily a group of people who are in the middle of a major transition. The last time we were at one of the centers was back in 2010, and the experience was great. It’s a great place to hang out, a great place to get new business ideas, and just generally a great place to be.
The tech center is run by two men and a woman. The men, Wes Watkins and Justin Lippincott, have been at the center for almost a decade. Their first project was an online grocery store called “The Pantry,” but that was shut down because of bankruptcy. Wes is a successful business consultant and founder of the online marketing firm, Webtrends.com. Justin is a salesperson whose last name is not available.
Wes and Justin are the only people at the center who have actually been to the tech center. The other people who work there have no idea what they’re doing there. The tech center is basically a warehouse for the company, but it is also a place to hang out, talk tech, and maybe run a business idea through the company.
I haven’t seen the tech center, but I heard that the company’s web site has been taken down. That’s probably because the company went into the bankruptcy.
We have no idea where WES’ tech center is, but it looks like it might be there. There are some nice shops in the works at the back of the giant warehouse building that once housed WES. It seems like they’ve been replaced by a new home that’s just a little bit more modern.
The tech center has been in the works for a long time, but it was supposed to be just a tiny part of the overall company. Now the building itself is getting a new look, so I’m sure that will change.
I wish they would let us in on their plans, but I’m worried about what will happen to the technology center. I know it’s a long shot, but I don’t know if it’ll be shut down by the company itself or if it’ll be just one of the many tech centers elsewhere in the world. There’s no telling what will happen.
Afterall, not much else remains to be done. In the meantime, the company has had its own workstation, and recently it’s been working on a new computer program that will hopefully keep the production of the computer in its current state.
