The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology is a group of radiologists who meet to discuss and provide input to the practice of medicine. We are committed to improving the care and education of radiologists and the public.
In the United States, radiologists are generally accredited by the American Board of Radiology and American Board of Medical Specialties. The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology works to standardize and improve the education of radiologists.
According to the mission statement, the review committee also serves to provide input on educational opportunities for radiologists. With the number of radiologists in the United States expected to increase from about 7-9 to 2300 over the next 20 years, there will be an explosion in radiologic technology. We have to ensure that these tools are appropriate for our patients and that education is being provided appropriately. As healthcare providers, we need to ensure our patients are receiving the best care possible.

The Radiologic Technology Committee of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is a group of radiologic technologists dedicated to improving the health of the general public by addressing the needs of radiologists. The committee is composed of representatives from all radiologic technology facilities nationwide and represents the views of the technologists in the field. The committee is developing recommendations that will be presented to the CDC Director in the near future.
When the committee is presented with a specific recommendation, it’s not very unusual to see a new committee in attendance. I think it’s great that the committee has been able to take on the task of developing a new committee, and bring in a panel of experts to work on the committee’s recommendations and then send it off to a committee of experts to get the work done.
The committee was very productive during the creation of the three-part series. The main idea was to get a new committee to be a member of the committee, but at the same time bring in a panel of experts, and then they would send that committee to a panel of experts to get the work done.
