I think it’s just the opposite! We want to be healthy, which means we want to get high and have some extra calories, but we also need to get strong, and we’re supposed to have lots of physical activity. So even though the physical fitness is not going to be the key to all of our success, I’m not sure that the physical fitness of our children and adolescents is what is causing the problem.
We know many of our kids have become very active, and most of them don’t have the physical fitness that we have. The physical fitness is about the growth and development of their body and mind, rather than the physical fitness. So we’re going to need some kind of physical activity for our children and adolescents to have the physical fitness that they need to get them into the fitness game.
