Before working in the business world, I was an analyst. I worked for several start-up companies, but eventually I decided I needed more structure and discipline. I went to school at night and during the day I studied business and economics. I was able to transfer my knowledge of business to the business world so I could apply it to other jobs.
That is how I ended up a business analyst. I was an intern with a big company that I liked, but I knew I was way over my head. So I applied to a business school that I was interested in. I was accepted, but I had to work extra hard to get into the program. The program was very technical so most of my classes were difficult. I spent a lot of time working on projects, but I was also very frustrated that I was constantly doing stupid things.
It’s not uncommon for new grads to take classes that aren’t that difficult. Sometimes the classes do have a few of us who get bored after a while and switch to something else, but it’s not uncommon for people to work hard for an assignment and then feel frustrated when they don’t get an A. But it’s not uncommon for people to work hard and then feel frustrated when they don’t get an A.
I get the sense that we dont have a lot of time for working hard. We are constantly working and then complain that we have less time for ourselves. We have the freedom that many other people have. We can work in our own time, even if it is a lot of time. The real problem is we cannot stop to really think about what we should be doing.
The solution is easy enough when you’re talking about a career in your 20’s. You should be working hard at your job, spending more time sleeping, and making sure you’re on the right track. But in my opinion, it is a lot easier to be “working hard” and then complain when you don’t get an A.
I think that the problem lies in not really knowing what we should be doing. It is easy to complain when you dont get an A.
