I have never thought of this as a self-awareness thing. I just think that the idea of self-awareness is a bit silly. If you don’t know the difference between self-awareness and awareness then there is no way for you to self-monitor your diet, your workouts, your progress, or your health.

Self-awareness, it seems, is really just a fancy way of saying knowledge of your own habits and routines. And that is a good thing. It means that you can know when you are doing something wrong and can take steps to correct it. It does mean, however, that your habits probably don’t match up with the rest of the world. You might be more fit than you think you are, but you might not know how to eat right and exercise, or what your body needs.

The truth is, while you might know how to get in shape and what to eat, you might not know your body best. So while it might be nice to know a quick, efficient workout plan, you should probably focus your efforts on eating and exercising smart. But, like everything else, it all comes down to knowing what to do and how to do it.

I’m a big believer in the concept that every single body is unique. So for me, fitness is about not just knowing how to do something but knowing what to do about it. I’m obsessed with knowing what type of food I should be eating, what movements I should be doing, and why.

The only things I’ve learned over the years in fitness classes are that I know nothing, that if my focus is on my body, and not on my body, I have no choice but to exercise smart.

So if you want to stay healthy and fit you have to know how to do it. It’s not about being smart, it’s about knowing what the right thing is to do, and knowing what to do about it. And this includes knowing how to do it right.

I like to say that it is all about the right thing to do. That is what I believe in and the reason I get so excited to write a blog post every week about fitness. I am not referring to a specific type of training or a specific class. I am talking about the very idea of fitness. The idea of a state of being in which you know what you are doing, you are doing it, and you are doing it correctly.

So I’m not going to suggest that you try and start with a couple of simple ideas. I’ll outline my ideas here. I am not arguing that you start with simple ideas, but I’m making a point that you should really stay in the moment. You might want to keep your mental focus on what you are doing right, but the moment you realize this is going to be difficult and that you need to learn to learn how to do it right.

After a while, you might want to start with a couple simple ideas.

A lot of people who start with simple ideas often end up being wrong. For example, for many years I was an avid weightlifter and it started with a couple of simple ideas: You are not going to be able to perform the same movements with the same amount of weight. This was the most common mistake that people made. One would have to be really consistent for this to work, and that was a tough road to get to.
